1. General & Business Information

Climagen operates as a specialist installer of residential and commercial dual heat and cool air conditioning systems across the United Kingdom.

2. Quotations, Estimates & WhatsApp Communication

Instant Online Estimates: Price ranges generated by our 30-second online questionnaire are automated preliminary estimates based on the property information provided by you. They do not constitute a legally binding contract.
Final Fixed Quotes: A binding quote is issued only after our engineering team reviews your property details, photographic evidence, room dimensions, and specific requirements via WhatsApp or direct consultation.
Quote Validity: All written fixed quotes are valid for 30 calendar days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated in writing.

3. Payment Terms & 0% VAT Compliance

Payment Schedule: Unless otherwise agreed in writing, a deposit is required upon booking to reserve your installation date and order equipment. The remaining balance is strictly due upon completion of the installation on the day of fitting.
Payment Methods: Payments must be made via bank transfer or approved credit/debit card processing channels.
0% VAT Energy-Saving Relief: Qualifying residential installations of dual heat and cool air-to-air heat pumps are quoted with 0% VAT in accordance with UK government energy-saving materials tax policy. Eligibility is assessed based on UK tax rules at the time of invoicing.
Late Payments: Late payments may incur interest in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 or standard statutory interest rates for consumer transactions.

4. Property Access & Customer Responsibilities

To ensure a smooth installation, the customer agrees to:

Provide our certified installation engineers with safe, clear, and unhindered access to the installation area, electrical consumer units, and external mounting locations on the scheduled date.
Ensure clear access to electricity and water supplies required during fitting.
Ensure that any necessary permissions (such as landlord approval, building owner consent, or conservation area clearance) are secured prior to the start of installation work.

5. Planning Permission & Regulatory Compliance

Permitted Development: Most domestic air conditioning installations fall under UK Permitted Development Rights. However, the customer is responsible for confirming whether their property is a listed building, situated within a conservation area, or subject to specific leasehold restrictions that require formal consent.
F-Gas Compliance: All refrigerant work, system evacuation, and commissioning are carried out strictly by certified F-Gas engineers in full compliance with UK environmental and building regulations.

6. Cancellations & Consumer Rights

In accordance with the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and Consumer Rights Act 2015:

Cooling-Off Period: For off-premises or distance sales, residential customers have the legal right to cancel their contract within 14 days of booking without giving a reason.
Express Request for Early Work: If you request us to begin installation work within the 14-day cancellation period, you acknowledge that you waive your right to cancel once the installation services are fully performed. If partially completed, you will be liable for reasonable costs incurred up to the point of cancellation.
Rescheduling: We request a minimum of 48 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule your installation date.

7. Warranties & Guarantee Limits

Manufacturer Warranty: Equipment supplied by Climagen is covered by standard manufacturer warranties (typically ranging from 3 to 7 years), subject to the equipment being serviced annually by an F-Gas certified engineer.
Workmanship Guarantee: We provide a dedicated 12-month workmanship guarantee covering our installation, pipework, and structural fittings from the date of completion.
Exclusions: Warranties do not cover damage resulting from accidental misuse, unauthorized third-party tampering, lack of routine filter cleaning, or external power surges.

8. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
We are not liable for pre-existing structural, electrical, or plumbing defects in your property that are uncovered during the normal installation process.
We are not responsible for delays or failures in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control (force majeure), including severe weather conditions, national supply chain disruptions, or emergency grid power failures.

All content on climagen.co.uk, including text, logos, graphics, and interactive funnel tools, is the property of Climagen and protected by UK intellectual property laws.
